The 5 Best Shopping Experiences in Nashville

Trends Nashville

Calling all shoppers! Nashville has become a major tourism destination. With attractions like the Ryman, and the Grand Ole Opry, there is a reason why Nashville has been coined Music City. However, Nashville is also home to a huge, eclectic, and diverse shopping scene. Here are our top 5 shopping destinations in Nashville.

Let’s start at the heart of Downtown, Broadway! Broadway is home to dozens of bars and restaurants, but scattered between the chaos is the best boot shopping in Nashville. These massive boot retailers draw in crowds who are looking to bring a little more Country into their lives. And besides, the only thing that makes spending money any easier is alcohol, so Broadway has definitely got us covered. Some of the top boot shops on Broadway would have to be: Boot Country, Boot Barn, and Betty Boots.

Now we’re going to move a little further out of the noise and enter the Gulch. The Gulch is home to one of Nashville’s top attractions: Two Old Hippies. Two Old Hippies is inspired by free spirits, and we can tell by the hippie culture apparent in the store. Two Old Hippies also does an amazing job of merging country music with Nashville fashion by having small concerts and guest performers in store to entertain the shoppers. While in the Gulch, you could also head over to Urban Outfitters or Blush for the necessities.

Taking 12th Avenue South will bring us to our next shopping destination, the 12th South neighborhood. One of the most popular shops in this area is most definitely Draper James. This store, opened by Reese Witherspoon, attracts huge crowds because of its eye catching façade and adorable inventory. Other boutiques on 12th South are Vinnie Louise, Emerson Grace, and Serendipity.

Heading away from 12th Ave will take us to 21st Avenue South, Hillsborough Village. This shopping district attracts college students by the hundreds because of its proximity to both Belmont University and Vanderbilt. Shops like Dress Up, Altar’d State, and Revv keep that in mind by offering affordable clothing options. However, what makes Hillsborough Village the best of the best is UAL. UAL, United Apparel Liquidators, has made a name for itself as being one of the best consignment shops in all of Nashville. It offers high end designers like Prada, Givenchy, Zac Posen, and more! If Hillsborough Village was not on your list of attractions before, I recommend adding it to the top of the list!

This last location is for all the savvy shoppers out there. The risk takers, the treasure hunters, and the miracle workers alike! It’s the Nashville Flea Market. Once a month, the Nashville fairgrounds hold one of the top Flea Markets in the country. With 800-1200 vendors, you are bound to find something amazing. The flea market takes place the last weekend of every month, and is definitely something everyone should experience in their lifetime.
